Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore Comedy Re-Named ‘Familymoon’

Variety shares that the name of Drew’s film formerly known as Blended is now called “Familymoon”. Warner Brothers has also given it a May 23, 2014 release date.

Warner Bros. has swapped “Blended” for “The Familymoon” as the title for its romantic comedy starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.

Frank Coraci is directing the film from a script by Ivan Menchell and Clare Sera, rewritten by Sandler and Tim Herlihy. Story revolves around a couple who, after disastrous blind date, are stuck together in a family resort with their children from previous marriages.

Sandler’s Happy Madison is producing along with Gulfstream. Shooting began in May in Atlanta and South Africa.

Warner has dated the film May 23 at the start of the Memorial Day weekend next year opposite Fox’s “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.”
