Drew is producing a new show on the new Esquire Network.
Nice present, Esquire Network!
The newbie net will air its first broadcast day on my birthday, Monday September 23, featuring five originals and an all-star roster of popular contemporary programs. The network will debut in 75 million homes nationwide, as well as online, mobile, On Demand, Esquire TV Now (TVE) and other platforms.
Esquire Network’s programming is pure lifestyle, fashion, food, fun and travel.
“Until now there hasn’t been one singular television destination that explores every aspect of men’s lives,” says Adam Stotsky, General Manager, Esquire Network. “Esquire Network will change that with lifestyle and entertainment programming that reflects the wide range of men’s interests, told with Esquire’s signature style and intelligence.”
From the press release:
Partnering with the industry’s top producers and talent, Esquire Network is building an aggressive original programming pipeline, with 10 originals announced to date — 5 of which will debut in September. Announcements of additional original series and specials, to air this Fall and beyond, are to come.
Kicking off on Monday, September 23 at 9p e/p, the two-hour special ESQUIRE’S 80TH commemorates Esquire’s landmark 80th anniversary with a look back at the social, political and cultural forces that shaped our lives over the last eight decades — as told by notable people and celebrities and through the magazine’s rich archive of unforgettable stories and indelible images. The special is narrated by actor and director John Slattery (Mad Men).
Esquire Network’s new primetime schedule will feature a blend of original, unscripted and scripted series, movies and specials that appeal to the Esquire audience. Original premiere week series include:
KNIFE FIGHT (Tuesdays at 9p e/p), an underground cooking competition hosted by noted chef Ilan Hall and executive produced by Drew Barrymore, Flower Films and Authentic Entertainment.
