Drew Barrymore Feels “Awkward” Doing Romantic Scenes With Pal Adam Sandler, Says Adam Sandler!

E!Online spoke with Adam about working with Drew as he insists that he scares Drew off!

Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler’s new film Blended is the third film that the actors have starred in together playing love interests (they’ve also costarred in The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates).

So are Sandler or Barrymore getting tired of working together?

“She wouldn’t want it every day, so I have to give her a pass every four or five years,” Sandler joked to us exclusively at last night’s Blended premiere in Hollywood. “And then I jump in and remind her of why she moved on.”

As for having to repeatedly romance a longtime friend onscreen, Sandler says, yes, it does get awkward.

“Absolutely, for Drew every time,” he laughed. “It’s been awkward when we were strangers for her. But I keep saying, ‘They paid you, buddy, get in here.'” LOL!

Meanwhile, at last night’s premiere, Barrymore gushed about her 1-month-old daughter, Frankie, and her 20-month-old daughter, Olive. “The girls are happy and healthy and I’m just so lucky right now,” she said. “It’s insane.”

As for her recent family photo shoot, Barrymore said, “It was ridiculous. We are like anything but the perfect family. It was like, ‘Oh my god, this is nuts! I hope we get a picture, but if we don’t, who cares?’ But it was great.”

Drew Barrymore’s Mother-in-Law Calls Drew ‘The Quintessential Mother’

Drew loves her in-law’s but it seems the feeling is mutual as Coco Kopelman talks with Life & Style magazine about what a good mother Drew is!

Drew Barrymore’s mother-in-law, Coco Kopelman, couldn’t be happier about the tender way the actress juggles daughters Olive, 19 months, and 4-week-old Frankie.

Raving about her daughter-in-law, Coco exclusively shares with Life & Style: “She is the quintessential mother.”

“With the new baby, she’s very delicate,” Coco says. “With Olive, she makes her laugh…she clowns around with her on the floor. She’s a real entertainer, which is what she’s done all her life.”

And Olive is doing her bit to take care of her little sis.

“She’s very affectionate,” Coco tells the mag, adding, “she loves to pat Frankie on the head. It’s very cute! It’s exactly what you want for two little girls who are 19 months apart.”

Drew Barrymore Introduces Daughter Frankie

Drew is the cover feature on the new issue of People Magazine on stands this Friday! Her and Will share family pictures of their new daughter Frankie!

Drew Barrymore is the first to admit taking care of a newborn and a toddler has been an adjustment.

The actress, who delivered her second child with art advisor husband Will Kopelman on April 22, says her recovery with newborn daughter Frankie was quicker this time around than following her first pregnancy with elder daughter Olive, 20 months.

“I knew that I have two kids to take care of now and just kicked my own butt to get back into the swing of things immediately,” she tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story.

The biggest challenge? “Just being split. They’re awake and asleep at different times, or awake at the same time, and it’s a juggling act a little bit.”

Barrymore, 39, says her own tumultuous childhood influenced what she sees as most important for her kids.

She wanted Olive “to have a sibling, because I really would have liked that in my life,” she says. “And always being on time, being there when I say I’m going to be there. Creating a real stable home. I know when my daughter wants to swing higher and jump into the pool and all of these things, she feels safe. To make your kids feel safe is everything.”

Barrymore says Olive is relishing having a baby sister – so far. “Olive loves Frankie and just wants to hang out with her all the time,” she adds. “She wants to feed her. She’s super into it. That’s now. I’m sure things will ebb and flow.”

Now promoting Blended, her new comedy with Adam Sandler which hits theaters Friday, Barrymore admits she wasn’t sure she wanted to act anymore after Olive’s birth.

“I didn’t think I could go back to work, honestly. I didn’t want to be away from my kids and it just wasn’t the priority,” she says. “With Adam, he makes everything really safe because he really creates an environment where kids can come and be a part of it. It was a really big lesson for me.”

Knowing duty would be calling so soon after she gave birth “kept me at least physically present and sharp,” Barrymore adds. “As opposed to being a brain scholar, which I am not right now. As I walk into a room to get something and pass the doorway, I’ve forgotten already.”

Drew & Adam on The Ellen DeGeneres Show

I love Ellen’s show but how cute to have both Adam & Drew talking about their daughters with Ellen. Plus it is cute to watch them reminiscence about filming The Wedding Singer … anyway you need to watch this adorable clip.

Drew Barrymore isn’t pregnant anymore, but she’s still got a glow.

The actress gave birth to her second daughter, Frankie, just three weeks ago, yet she still managed to step out and appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (airing May 19) alongside her pal Adam Sandler to promote their upcoming film Blended—and she looked absolutely amazing!

“It feels like a miracle and it’s also so awesome I have to say,” she added about stepping out so soon after giving birth. “I feel like I actually have, first of all, I love this movie and I would never not like show up for it and I feel so good and happy. My kid is healthy. I have nothing to complain about. Like, I’m so blessed.”

She also explained how she and hubby Will Kopelman came to decide on their baby girl’s name, noting that almost everything they liked sounded like food or colors when paired with her big sis Olive.

“We, um, it was just a name that like came to my husband and I about a few months before she was born and it was just sort of like I think this is it and then we just gave ourselves the room to change our mind but we never did. Not the most interesting story,” Barrymore said.

The couple welcomed their second child together on April 22, and while she quickly got back to work, she couldn’t help but gush about motherhood when talking to E! News at the film’s junket.

“You know what’s going on more, so you’re a lot less worried and stressed,” Barrymore said. “It’s so much more work, but it is so much more calming in a way. It’s just grounding.”

Will & Drew Welcome Second Daughter

A giant congratulations to Drew & Will on the arrival of their daughter Frankie Barrymore Kopelman! People.com shared the news on their website!

Drew Barrymore‘s own heart just got a little bigger: her baby girl is here!

The actress and star of the upcoming comedy, Blended, 39, and her husband, art advisor Will Kopelman, 36, welcomed their second child on Tuesday, April 22, her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

“Happy to announce that today we are the proud parents of our second daughter, Frankie Barrymore Kopelman,” the couple tell PEOPLE in a statement. “Olive has a new little sister, and everyone is healthy and happy!”

After keeping much of her pregnancy with their firstborn, now 19 months, under wraps, Barrymore decided to take a different approach following her November announcement that she was expecting a second child.

“Last time I never commented on it and people just stalked me the entire time. So yes, it’s happening, it’s true. I tried to keep it a secret for as long as possible,” the Find It in Everything author told PEOPLE.

The mom-to-be — who confirmed in December that she was expecting another girl — stayed true to her heart-themed style through much of the awards season, but insisted pregnancy wasn’t the time to strive for perfection.

“You’re not supposed to look perfect while you’re making babies. Making babies is the perfection,” she told Women’s Health.

Instead, Barrymore took the time to enjoy her experience and indulge in her cravings — even if that meant a little extra weight gain.

“I don’t ever pose, ‘I’m just so fabulous and I lose it like that.’ I want to enjoy the pasta right now! What’s 10 lbs.?” she told Ellen DeGeneres in January.

But perhaps most exciting? Adding another daughter to the family.

“I’m relieved I’m having another girl. I have everything I need. It’s all about hand-me-downs and room sharing and all that stuff,” she told PEOPLE in February. “I’m pretty psyched about that!”

‘My husband thinks I’m insane!’

She’s heavily pregnant with her second child.

But that didn’t stop Drew Barrymore from going on a furry shopping spree and coming home with a pooch, much to her husband Will Kopelman’s despair.

Drew told People magazine: ‘Our plate is so full right now. I got a puppy while pregnant with the toddler and my husband was like, “You are insane!” I was like, “I am!”‘

But apparently that’s just how the 50 First Dates actress rolls.

‘I mean, let it rain. When it rains, it pours,’ she said. ‘That was my mentality!’

During a candid chat, the bubbly 38-year-old actress also confessed that she and her husband Will Kopelman will be ignoring the grandeur of Valentine’s Day this year.

‘When you’re pregnant, it’s just so different,’ Drew explained, speaking about the notoriously loved-up February holiday.

The Never Been Kissed star revealed that she and Will plan on laying low on the 14th, implying that she doesn’t expect any grand gestures from Will, whose father is former Chanel CEO Arie Kopelman.

‘It’ll just be all about food and hanging out,’ she continued. ‘Next year, it’ll be [a] fabulous bottle of wine and maybe something extraordinary.’

Drew is already a starry eyed mother to her 16-month-old daughter Olive, and told the magazine that the toddler is helping her gear up to give birth for the second time.

‘She just really loves babies and kids,’ she said, adding: ‘I have her in a lot of classes.’

And it sounds as though Olive is already taking on the very mentality that Drew herself preaches and practices so avidly when it comes to approaching life with love.

Speaking about how her daughter operates around other children, she declared: ‘I like when she’s so open-hearted to people and her surroundings.’

The pretty blonde explained that as hard as she tries to stay on top of a fitness routine, she has not found it easy to fit it into her packed routine.

‘We don’t have a babysitter on the weekends,’ she told the magazine. ‘There’s a Saturday class that I basically have to turn my life upside down to get to and sometimes I simply can’t.’

But it seems there are some formalities and chores Drew will be able to forego given that she is expecting another girl.
‘I’m relieved I’m having another girl. I have everything I need,’ she said. ‘It’s all about hand-me-downs and room sharing and all that stuff. I’m pretty psyched about that!’

Drew Barrymore feels she has finally got the life she always wanted

I found this quote on Express.co.uk and thought it was wonderful!

DESPITE A tumultuous childhood which saw Drew Barrymore in rehab aged just 14 and legally emancipated from her mother at 17, the now married actress and mother of one feels that karma has bought her the settled life that she craved as a youngster.

“I won the in-laws jackpot,” says Drew, who married Will Kopelman in 2012.

“It might be the best karma for having one of the wackiest upbringings. I never had dinner with my mum or dad, let alone all together. It’s amazing to think that in life you can completely have a do-over.”

Drew Barrymore on Momhood

Giuliana and Bill Rancic interviewed Drew for Parenting.com and talked to her about motherhood, her new cosmetics line and what other celebrity parents inspire her.

Giuliana and Bill Rancic chat with mompreneur Drew Barrymore about her new baby, Olive, guilt, and growing up in the Hollywood spotlight.

G&B: New baby and new makeup line—how are you managing it all? Olive must be a good sleeper!

DB: She is a good sleeper, but it is because I am very strict with her schedule.

G&B: What was the inspiration for Flower Beauty?

DB: I’ve been in the makeup chair my whole life. I’ve also worked with the best makeup artists in the world and I was co-creative director at CoverGirl. I have learned so much and wanted to give women quality cosmetics they can afford. We have the same ingredients as luxury makeup.

G&B: Are you the kind of girl who wears makeup most of the time, or only when you really have to?

DB: I like to wear a lot of makeup, I like to wear no makeup, but most of the time I want easy makeup. I want to have tools that let me do my makeup really quickly.

G&B: Which are your go-to items from the collection?

DB: Lip Tints in Dewy Rose (a red), Airy Orchid (a violet), and Sheer Blossom (a mauve). They are the perfect amount of color for your day.

G&B: What is your favorite part about being a mom?

DB: Being constantly fascinated by Olive. And caring more about her than I’ve ever cared about anything.

G&B: What’s been hardest?

DB: The guilt—lots of moms tell me that is a natural feeling, but it is very powerful.

G&B: What did you have to change, lifestyle-wise, after Olive was born?

DB: So much. The truth is, you can’t have it all. But you can appreciate what you do have much more. Everything gets more narrow, more focused.

G&B: What will you do differently with Olive from the way you grew up?

DB: Schedules, chore charts, family meals, consistency, boundaries, routine, trust, and endless joy.

G&B: You were a child star—would you want the same for your daughter?

DB: No. I want her to be a kid as long as possible.

G&B: What about when she’s older? How would you feel about Olive joining the Barrymore family business someday?

DB: If it made her happy, I think that would be great.

G&B: Will you be a softie or a disciplinarian?

DB: Disciplinarian, because I think it shows that you care. But that doesn’t have to negate being the silliest mom that ever lived.

G&B: At what age will you let Olive start experimenting with makeup?

DB: Kids should not wear makeup! However, teenagers should absolutely play with makeup. I think that’s where you start to learn who you are.

G&B: How involved has your husband, Will Kopelman, been with Olive?

DB: He is a great dad. I waited to do this until I knew I would have a great partner. And he wants to take her to football games, which I’m excited about.

G&B: Which of your movies do you most want Olive to see when she’s bigger?

DB: E.T. and Ever After.

G&B: What other famous parents do you admire?

DB: Steven Spielberg and Kate Capshaw. They have a big, beautiful family and they are happy, giving, and wise.
