Drew Barrymore ‘Couldn’t Be Better’ After Having Second Child

People talked to Drew at the press conference held yesterday for her new film Blended.

Bringing home baby was blissful for Drew Barrymore.

The star, 39, who gave birth to her second daughter, Frankie, on April 22, says the transition has been “great. I couldn’t be better.”

Speaking at a press conference for Blended, her new comedy with her frequent costar, Adam Sandler – it opens May 23 – Barrymore said, ” I couldn’t fake it. I’m really happy. Everything is just as good as it could possibly be.”

In the comedy, the actress plays a single mom of two, and said the role appealed to her because of her own upbringing.

“I had times in my life where I really needed a mom,” she said. “I am now a mom. I’m going to be there for my kids. Like moms are my Achilles’s heel, emotionally speaking.”

As for Mother’s Day, Barrymore said she and her husband, art advisor Will Kopelman, 36, celebrated in typical fashion after a full day with their 19-month-old daughter Olive: “Sweatpants, Game of Thrones, take out,” she said. “Because we were just too tired.” Continue reading

Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore Comedy Re-Named ‘Familymoon’

Variety shares that the name of Drew’s film formerly known as Blended is now called “Familymoon”. Warner Brothers has also given it a May 23, 2014 release date.

Warner Bros. has swapped “Blended” for “The Familymoon” as the title for its romantic comedy starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.

Frank Coraci is directing the film from a script by Ivan Menchell and Clare Sera, rewritten by Sandler and Tim Herlihy. Story revolves around a couple who, after disastrous blind date, are stuck together in a family resort with their children from previous marriages.

Sandler’s Happy Madison is producing along with Gulfstream. Shooting began in May in Atlanta and South Africa.

Warner has dated the film May 23 at the start of the Memorial Day weekend next year opposite Fox’s “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.”

Tip Tuesday with Bella Thorne

I love Tip Tuesday and this week gives us a special treat as Drew features co-star Bella Thorne in her tip. They are currently in South Africa filming Blended and Bella shares with us her favorite Flower products.

“The FLOWER Tip Tuesday video program is something I am very passionate about – I love to know what beauty fanatics are interested in and enjoy experimenting with new looks using some of my favorite products from my line,” Drew told JustJared. “I chose Bella to be a part of the program this week because she is both beautiful on the inside and out. She loves playing with beauty products as much as I do so we had a great time!”

Riding in Cars with Boys

In 2001 Drew played Beverly in Riding in Cars with Boys.

The comedy-drama RIDING IN CARS WITH BOYS (2001) is the fresh, funny, touching and unbelievably true story of writer Beverly Donofrio (played by Drew Barrymore, who ages from 15 to 35 in the role), who comes of age in the late 1960s and has her entire life colored by an event that happens when she is 15 years old. Directed by Penny Marshall in her first collaboration with Academy Award®-winning director/producer Jim Brooks since the smash hit “Big (1988),” the story spans over 20 years as it reveals this unlikely heroine’s often humorous, occasionally irreverent, always unique personal journey to make something of herself.
